BARCELONA, Spain—Innovative ad network ExoClick, the innovative ad network, has announced that it introduced new security measures to protect its clients accounts on the company's Admin Panel.
ExoClick has implemented two-factor authentication (2FA) to access its Admin Panel. Two-factor authentication is a security process which adds an extra stage to the login process by asking the user to provide two means of identification from separate categories of credentials; one is their username and password and the second is a verification code sent via SMS to their mobile phone. Users have the option to be remembered on their login device for 30 days. Adding this second factor makes their account more secure.
"ExoClick is committed to provide the highest level of security to its advertisers and publishers and is rolling out a series of new security measures to best protect its clients,” said Benjamin Fonzé, founder and CEO of ExoClick. “With the increase of cyber attacks globally, everyone needs to be responsible and proactive to protect their data online. Two-factor authentication sets a basic security principle, something the user knows (his username and password) and something that the user possesses (his mobile phone) which makes it much more complicated for a hacker to get into a system.
"Security is at the very top of our priorities and we will continue to work on initiatives that will better protect our platform and the business of our clients,” Fonzé continued.
As an additional security measure ExoClick has also enabled new email notifications when important details are changed in an account, such as the password, email address or payment details.
The two-factor authentication is optional and is free to all clients. It can be actioned from Admin Panel > My Account > Two-Factor Authentication.
