AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands—Organizers of the Dutch Webmaster Meeting have announced that their Sept. 16 show in Amsterdam will restrict commercial photography at the event. Only recognized photographers like JFK from Fubar Webmasters, the official Webmaster Meeting photographer, and Baddog will be allowed to take pictures.
“This rule has become effective because visitors at the YNOT Summit [were] unhappily surprised that NALEM made pictures that where sponsored by ICM Registry’s .XXX domains,” the organizers said in a prepared statement. “A lot of people disliked that and felt uncomfortable. To make the visitors of the Dutch Webmaster Meeting feel comfortable and won’t get a stiff middle finger when showing their feeling towards .XXX, commercial photographing is prohibited. Of course, .XXX people attend the shows and are welcome, but we don’t want visitors that have a strong feeling against .xxx that will be used on pictures… promoting .xxx domains.”
The Dutch Webmaster Meeting is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 16 in Amsterdam, in cooperation with Webmaster Access, which takes place September 16–19.
