VIENNA, Austria—Carrier billing and mobile messaging company Dimoco.eu published another carrier billing industry special.
The European digital adult industry has been analyzed and is expected to generate 1.8 billion Euro in 2019, the publication claims. Billing digital content via the mobile network operator’s invoice makes it possible for the industry to profit from the number 1 digital payment method in reach by increasing conversion rates up to 60 percent in comparison to credit card billing.
“Adult digital content purchases are often higher in value and typically subscription-based,” said Gerald Tauchner, Dimoco co-founder and CEO. “Dimoco carrier billing enables the industry to profit from an attractive payment option, making their businesses even more successful.”
Dimoco’s publication analyzes trends on the digital adult content market and shows potential with carrier billing. According to the current Dimoco carrier billing industry special, the European digital adult industry will increase its revenues from 1.7 billion Euros in 2015 up to 1.8b billion in Euros in 2019. Purchases with a value of 306.8 million Euros will be paid via carrier billing in 2019, forecasts Juniper Research in Dimoco’s carrier billing industry special.
“With an increasing number of smartphones, tablets and smart TVs, the digital adult content industry is looking for a payment option which is available for multiple screens,” said Tauchner. To provide a seamless payment experience, Dimoco carrier billing is adjusted for all digital channels and can be used for one-off as well as for subscription services. The amount is easily charged to the customer’s mobile phone account, either to the monthly phone bill or as a debit from prepaid credit. Carrier billing does not require registration, which makes it an attractive payment option for the digital adult content industry, especially from an anonymity perspective.
