AUSTRIA—DIMOCO, a leading European mobile operator payment provider covering a market of almost 1 billion mobile subscribers in 32 countries, is now available in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia.
“Three more countries and three more reasons why we are a leading mobile operator payment provider," said DIMOCO CEO Gerald Tauchner. "In addition to our European focus, we just added Australia as another English-speaking country, thereby opening up a new interesting market for our customers in the digital content industry. We are delighted to offer the expanded country portfolio to our existing customers and to attract additional players in the digital content industry."
In collaboration with DIMOCO, author and mobile payment expert Maik Klotz tested the mobile operator payment market in the United Kingdom. “During my mobile payment test in England I had an opportunity to take a closer look at operator billing," reported Klotz. "As expected, payment via the mobile operator's bill worked without a hitch. There were absolutely no limitations or delays. Operator billing is an alternative particularly for small amounts and digital content.”
In addition, in a recently published white paper, Juniper Research and DIMOCO showed that mobile operator payment is an ideal digital content billing method. Besides the mass market appeal, the white paper postulates that companies profit from the higher conversion rate and the boost to transaction volumes and values, stating, “Direct carrier billing implementations have seen 10-14 times the conversion rate of credit card initial transaction rates, while retailers have also seen average transaction values rise by more than 40 percent.”
