CYBERSPACE—DDF Network has announced the winner of its Contest-X competition, in which members and non-members created mainstream advertisements for the company. Submissions were quite impressive, the company reports.
To celebrated DDF's 15th year in cyberspace, company officials decided it was "time to try something different" and hoped a contest of this kind could generate some interesting results. The contest started back in late January and was open for six weeks, yielding several submissions that showcased what DDF calls "some very nice out-of-the-box mainstream-style advertisements."
Of course, interest in the contest was stoked by the winning prize: a one-week trip to Budapest and a visit to the DDF Productions studios, mingling with DDF starlets, going behind the scenes, and being part of the Contest-X video documentary. The winner will be picked up by limousine at the airport, with champagne and beauties awaiting, and take part in the making of a documentary to commemorate the dream trip.
Quite a few submissions were very enticing and the company plans to award the top entries with one-year memberships to its flagship site, DDFNetwork.com. However only one entry can be the overall winner, and that submission came from New York City.
Reality Engine, a prolific audio-visual artist, music video director and longtime DDF Network fan, submitted an audio-visual piece complete with original soundtrack and all-original DDF Productions video footage, as well as a promotional slogan, which is also the title of the song "Get Behind Me." The piece has been released for all to view; find it on YouTube.com along with other video entries.
Further details, including an interview with the winner and dates for the documentary filming of the trip, will be released soon.
