Cherry Media Wins Twice At 2013 ME Awards In London

BARCELONA—Cherry Media S.L. (Cherrysauce), one of the industry leaders in mobile adult entertainment, is celebrating today after winning two awards at last Thursday’s prestigious ME Awards in London. Cherry Media is proud to announce that for the fifth time (and third time consecutively) it won Best Adult Mobile Company together with the industry’s highest accolade, the award for Outstanding Achievement to Mobile Entertainment.

The eighth ME Awards took place at the Royal Garden Hotel in London on Thursday, November 14, and Cherry Media, having been nominated every year so far for Best Adult Mobile Company, won again for its globally respected approach to this politically- and morally-charged mobile entertainment sector, besting competition from companies like MiKandi, AdultModa, First Mobile Affiliate, Reporo, BaDoink and Spankmo.

The ceremony’s most coveted award for Outstanding Achievement to Mobile Entertainment was given to Cherry Media for the company’s decade in the mobile entertainment business, where it has continually innovated, benchmarked and grown to become the industry’s market leader.

Cherry Media’s founder and CEO Julia Dimambro commented, “It’s truly a tribute and an honor to win Best Adult Mobile Company for the fifth time, but to be bestowed with the honor of Outstanding Achievement to Mobile Entertainment is humbling in every way. To be so highly regarded by the mobile industry as their leading choice for adult and erotic mobile services is an incredible accolade. It’s been an amazing year for Cherry, adapting to new global and local trends in both content and technology in order to ensure we remain ahead of the game and able to genuinely advise and guide our global partner base for maximum earnings, whilst remaining totally within local regulations and moral structures of customer protection, filtering and most importantly customer experience!

"We have launched a plethora of new products and promotions designed to drive partner revenues including Content Rentals, CherryStars Android Apps, Augmented Reality solutions, our new Design Services and a range of targeted promotions including our Cherry VIP Card and new exclusive Cherry Content Collections which are now also available as Android Apps.  With 2013 being our 10th anniversary, winning these awards is a wonderful finish to the year. We have some exciting projects lined up for 2014, so stay tuned!" Dimambro enthused.

The ME Awards were attended by over 300 senior industry professionals and the winners were decided by a judging panel, drawn from the Mobile Entertainment contacts book and consisting of around 500 execs from all sectors of the mobile business.

"As usual the ME Awards generated a huge amount of hype when this year’s categories were announced back in May," Dimambro stated. "We were treated to some truly inspiring entries that really demonstrated the fact that the global mobile content market still buzzes with creativity.

"Because of evolution in the market once again, we felt the need to adapt and diversify our awards. Whilst we still paid tribute to tradition—the operators and handset manufacturers—we felt it was important to shine the light on the mobile companies working with consumer-facing brands too—step forward Best Developer of a Consumer App, Best Mobile Game and Best Mobile Advertising Campaign.

"Technology has developed so much over the last year and consumer experiences on mobile have reached an all-time high. It was important for us to recognize this in and amongst the celebrations. Last night we had the opportunity to praise all of our winners and my personal congratulations go out to each and every one of them. Well done!"
