MEDELLIN, Columbia—LALExpo hosted its second show with 1,470 registrations, 60 percent of whom are broadcasters, from July 12-14. A major sponsor of the event was Chaturbate.
LALExpo started out as a local gathering in Colombia with the aim of networking in the live cam niche. It has since become an annual event that's expanding to include hosting, contact centers, software and web development and more.
Chaturbate, along with their COO, Shirley Lara, was among the sponsors for the event. Lara participated in the industry seminar "Cam Models and Studios: The Undiscovered and Potential Traffic Affiliates" and the live cams seminar "Using Social Media to Create and Grow A Fan Base and Monetize Them" on July 12, as well as the live cam seminar "How to Become a Top Professional Model" on July 14.
AJ, owner of AJStudios, has been running studios for six years. His team, which includes Grupo Bedoya and Juan Bustos, put LALExpo together.
