VALENCIA, Calif.—Adult industry fans have nominated Skow for Girlfriends Films director/producer B. Skow as Best Director at the 2014 Fanny Awards. The recognition is decided upon by fan votes and presented at the Exxxotica love and sex expo in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Fans may now click here to vote daily for the boundary-pushing director to receive the award. Voting is open until April 12, when the winner will be selected.
“It’s such an honor to be nominated by fans of my work,” says B. Skow. “The fans are the ones who buy and watch our films, and it’s an incredibly humbling experience to see them take the time to place their votes for this nomination. Thank you to them and to Girlfriends Films, which has provided me with a fantastic environment to express myself and push my artistic boundaries.”
Skow’s distribution and directing deals with Girlfriends Films recently passed the one-year mark; signed in fall 2012 to produce the company’s first-ever boy/girl titles, as well as lesbian features and vignettes, Skow’s provocative, headline-grabbing movies have led to tremendous DVD sales and worldwide critical acclaim. Skow for Girlfriends Films was named Best New Line at the 2014 AVN Awards; the media network also dubbed B. Skow the “most prolific” director of the past year.
