LOS ANGELES—The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is pleased to reveal its Featured Sponsors for August, 2014. Each month, the association names select sponsors in recognition of their outstanding efforts and ongoing support in helping to protect children online.
According to ASACP Executive Director, Tim Henning, the association’s Featured Sponsors program honors providers of digital media and related services that have demonstrated their support, while identifying those industry leaders that set a responsible example for their peers.
“By helping to protect children from being exposed to inappropriate material on the Internet or via mobile apps, ASACP’s Featured Sponsors show that profits and protection can work hand-in-hand,” Henning explains. “This illustrates the value of proactive self-regulation as an alternative to mandatory measures that can be over-reaching, such as in the U.K., where the ISP-level filtering is reportedly over-blocking 20 percent of websites.”

For August, ASACP recognizes four of its sponsors: Southern Charms, Imlive, Girlfriends Films and GT Bill, for their generous long-term support.
