MONTREAL—Webcam site software creator 2much.net has confirmed its support for Qwebec Expo for a ninth year by once again sponsoring the Networking Cocktails event, which will be held between 6-8pm every day for the duration of the conference. This is in addition to 2much.net co-sponsoring the Canadian convention's Friday night Thank God it's Friday party with Epoch, Juggcash and TrafficJunky.
"The Networking Cocktails are a natural for us," said 2much.net founder Mark Prince. "They're all about what our software is, which means interaction, connecting and bringing people together."
As a prelude to each night's main event, and post-floor "unwinding" opportunity, Prince has promised some special events at the cocktails themselves. "I won't say what they are, but they're sure to keep people talking at suppers and the main parties during the evening," he teased.
2much.net will also be holding a booth on the show floor, hosted by reps Brookelynne Briar, Xev Delexx, Mediaguy and Prince
"That's when I won't be speaking at one of the seminars," said Prince, who in the past has spoken on or moderated Cams and Billing seminars. "I'm doing the Newbie seminar for a change this time. After nine years, it's about time," said Prince, who has been in the industry over 13 years.
Qwebec Expo was held in Quebec city its first year. Through some of 2much.net's own networking office parties ("I prefer to call them events," said Prince. "They were always anniversaries, thank-yous, and so on."), Michael Plant, Qwebec Expo creator and organizer, decided that it would be easier to attract more attendees if the tradeshow were held in Montreal.
"And so, the next year, the attendance was huge," said Plant. "And Montreal is so much more cosmopolitan, and has many more venues for parties and gatherings. "My heart is in Montreal for Qwebec Expo."
Qwebec Expo will be held at the Marriott Château Champlain, August 10-12, 2012.
