PENNSAUKEN, NJ—Williams Trading Company, the long-time adult distributor, has announced that its founder, Bob Pyne Sr., has been inducted into the StorErotica Hall of Fame at the 13th Annual StorErotica Award ceremony for his contributions to the adult industry. Bob Pyne Sr. started Williams Trading Co. over 45 years ago, beginning as a full-time entrepreneur with DVDs and movies, and later transitioning the company to distribute the biggest brand names in novelties and lubricants today.
Bob Pyne’s leadership has assured the company continued growth, with the second generation of the family now involved into all aspects of the business.
“Our family made a smooth transition to the second generation with (6) children running the business in management, warehouse operations, e-commerce, and purchasing. My daily role is separated but I still attend all of the family strategy meetings and weigh in with direction and leadership,” said Bob Pyne Sr.
Concurrent with the beginning of the adult entertainment business, Bob Pyne Sr., along with many adult pioneers, fought for equality, free speech, fairness and acceptance of this emerging adult business.
“The early adult business was not as socially accepted and openly prevalent as it is today. We fought many legal battles and endured many inequalities during the start of this industry. At the time, we did not know that we were paving the way for this growing, successful industry that flourishes today,” the elder Pyne noted.
