PENNSAUKEN, NJ—Williams Trading Co. wants to support its customers and keep them healthy, and its most recent method of doing this is with weekly content posts that address helpful tips and best practices during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This week, Williams Trading Co. offers some great tips on exercising at home and dealing with stress with this post on the Williams Trading Co Blog.
With non-essential businesses closed, that means gyms and other places where people normally go to get in their exercise are unavailable. But that doesn’t mean one can’t exercise at home—and it also doesn't mean that one needs to go on a shopping spree for a lot of specialized equipment.
The blog post outlines some helpful exercises, with linked articles and a YouTube video from the Ottawa Citizen channel, and gives tips on how to get customers' workouts in even while at home. Instead of fancy gym equipment, everyday household objects like milk jugs or laundry detergent bottles can be substituted in for free weights, and a chair or wall used for exercises like knee curls and wall sits.
Tips on how to incorporate exercises into daily tasks are also given in the post, allowing people to carry on with their normal, at-home routines instead of having to schedule a specific time to exercise.
And while exercise produces some very helpful endorphins, dealing with stress during this time is something that everyone could use some help with.
In light of this, Williams Trading Co has gathered some great tips and article links offered by the CDC and other health-related government agencies that address some common things that will help mitigate the effects of stress on the body, among which include meditation, eating correctly, getting enough sleep, limiting alcohol consumption and avoiding drug use. (These are also great tips to keep in mind even after everyone returns back to work!)
