CHATSWORTH, Calif.—As part of its Platinum sponsorship of Widener University’s Careers in Sexuality conference, Clandestine Devices will offer several Mimic luxury massagers as raffle prizes.
The Careers in Sexuality conference takes place Friday, Nov. 16.
“We are especially excited to be able to provide some raffle prizes for the attendees of this year's event,” said Clandestine Devices’ Director of Operations Kimberly Faubel. “We've been on the lookout for college-level sexuality-focused events to contribute to, and it makes sense that Widener University hosts this annual event for the sex educators of today and tomorrow.
“This year’s theme is ‘Connecting The Dots: Dismantling Systems Through Transformative Sexology’, and I believe that transformative sexology & thinking might be the best approach to our future, knowing we have work to undo before the work we can do is a powerful and ambitious undertaking.”
Emily Falcone, the event’s Vice Co-Chair/ Fundraising and Sponsorship Committee Chair, said, “With support of organizations like Clandestine Devices, we have been able to launch this entirely student-run conference and maintain its legacy. This year we are excited and grateful to include the Mimic in our top raffle prizes! Thank you so much, Clandestine Devices!
“Widener is the premiere sexology MSW/MEd/PsyD/PhD program in the U.S., with students who commute from all over the country. More than 200 future and current sex therapists and sex educators, alumni, professionals, academics, volunteers, and workshop presenters all are in attendance.”
Faubel is especially impressed with Widener’s curriculum, adding that “the university has a broad range of Human Sexuality courses through the CHSS (Center for Human Sexuality Studies), and events like this one will continue to help create the educators we need for a healthy and sex-positive future.
“We are grateful for Widener University's inclusive courses and events that are in line with our own core beliefs, and we look forward to being a part of more events like this!” Faubel said.
