SuperSlyde Sponsoring Girl Groove Female Founders Series Event

SAN FRANCISCO—Lubricant company SuperSlyde has signed on as a sponsor of the Girl Groove Founders Series event in May.

“Sex, Drugs, Success—An Evening W/Female CEOs of ‘Sin’ Businesses” is set for 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, at Covo, 981 Mission St., San Francisco.

SuperSlyde is known for creating high-quality silicone lubricants, and has already won an Eros Shine Award for Best Lotion and Potion from the Eros Association—Australia’s leading adult industry organization.

Panelists for the event are Dale Sky Jones, CEO/Chancellor, Oaksterdam University; Kimberly Faubel, director of operations, Clandestine Devices; Nenna Joiner, owner/founder, Feelmore Gallery; and Fivestar, co-founder, Luster Productions. The event will be moderated by Amanda Reiman of Flow Kana.

Girl Groove presents inspiring female founders and risk-takers who will share their uncensored stories of the risks, rewards, and challenges of starting and running a business in a man’s world.

“Ever since the Garden of Eden, women have been associated with sin. But, many have learned how to turn a profit on it—from Miss Kitty who owned the saloon in Gunsmoke, the early ’60s TV Western, to Maggie Gyllenhaal in The Deuce and even Melanie Griffith in Working Girl who famously said, ‘I’ve got a brain for business and a bod for sin,’” the event’s description reads. “This is a night of badass successful women who’ve drawn their own blueprints for success with a lot of inspiration and perspiration … in sin businesses. They will be sharing their stories of success, the lessons they’ve learned, and how you might do the same.”
