OhMiBod's Suki Dunham Shares Expertise on TheHealthy.com

STRATHAM, N.H.Suki Dunham, the CEO and founder of sexual wellness brand OhMiBod, shared her insights on the importance of pleasure product care in a new article for TheHealthy.com.

Since launching her brand 17 years ago, Dunham has established herself as a veteran in the industry. Recently, Dunham shared her expertise with Reader's Digest's The Healthy audience.

The article "How to Clean Your Sex Toys, According to Medical Doctors" offers readers insight and guidance on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene for pleasure devices, and Dunham’s advice sheds light on the significance of paying attention to the finer details of soaking and scrubbing.

In the article, Dunham said, "Dildos are straightforward… You can wash them with gentle soap and water, but since vibrators are mechanical devices with motors and often have rechargeable batteries, it’s important to ensure water doesn’t enter the charging port."

Dunham stressed the importance of staying aware of potential points of entry for water when cleaning sex toys but points out that this rule doesn’t apply if the products are labeled waterproof by the manufacturer. Also, note the difference between water-resistant (can get splashed) and waterproof (can be submerged).

Dunham added, "The simpler the soap, the better. After rinsing, toys should air dry for 24 hours. Blow drying your products may seem faster and easier, however, vibrators with motors and batteries can react."

Dunham said that it was an honor to be asked to participate in TheHealthy.com article. "I am thrilled to be asked to share my knowledge as a pleasure product manufacturer of 17 years, and help educate readers on proper cleaning techniques that promote a safe and enjoyable experience."

Since its launch in 2006 with the company’s signature music-driven vibrator, OhMiBod has expanded its reach across the world and grown into a trusted leader in the industry with boldly designed, body-safe pleasure products, Kegel weights, and lubricants.
