STRATHAM, N.H.—OhMiBod continues its push into the mainstream consumer electronics market with its latest hire: Molly Perlich, formerly of Beats by Dr. Dre, as director of sales.
Beats by Dr. Dre is known worldwide for its headphones; the audio electronics manufacturer was acquired by Apple in 2014.
"During Molly's tenure at Beats, she helped create and strategize visual merchandising for retail fixtures across North and South America," said OhMiBod founder Brian Dunham. "She will bring a fresh perspective to OhMiBod's sales team, and we're excited to have her representing our brand."
Perlich got her start at Beats as a sales coordinator, assisting in the management of a broad set of key accounts such as Target, Best Buy, and Zumiez and developing plans for retail point of purchase (POP) displays. Later, she activated Beats' POP Program in Brazil for the 2014 World Cup before taking the reigns as the company's POP Project Manager for the Americas. This role spanned two continents, with Perlich setting up vendor relationships and demo fixtures in multiple countries. She also oversaw the transition of the Beats POP program into the Apple system.
"OhMiBod has products in the development pipeline that are nearly ready for release,” added Dunham. “Molly's energy, enthusiasm, and expertise are exactly what we need when introducing these new massagers and accessories to consumers across the country—and around the world.”
