Magic Wand Vibe Featured in New York Magazine's 'The Cut'

NAPA, Calif.—Perennially popular massager the Magic Wand is featured in a recent column on New York Magazine subsite The Cut.

Titled “The Enduring Appeal of This Clunky, Old Vibrator,” the column by Marissa Gold explores the longstanding love for the vibrator amid heavy competition from various other brands. In the story, Gold writes that the Magic Wand “was loud, heavy, ridiculous, almost Paleolithic … and it was—no, is—apparently the most popular vibrator of all time.”

She also notes that at the heart of the vibe’s popularity is one thing: “[i]t works. Every time. For everyone. If you can’t have an orgasm with this tool, check your pulse.”

Gold added: “The Magic Wand isn’t here to amuse other people. It’s here unapologetically to please you, and that has always been its thing.”

The Cut is a space for discussions around style, self, culture and power. The article was part of a reflection of Gold’s experiences reviewing NSFW products.
