LAS VEGAS—Dr. Amber Hull, D.O., a board-certified pediatrician in private practice and founder of Artemis Luxury Wellness, announces the first annual Artemis Summer Retreat on May 27, taking place at a private estate with accommodations provided by Encore at Wynn Las Vegas. The event brings together physicians, physical therapists, psychologists, performers, and practitioners to facilitate discussion of human sexuality and encourage transformational relationship experiences.
Hull’s decision to create Artemis Luxury Wellness and host the inaugural retreat came after she identified some distressing relationship issues that arise during couples’ transitions into parenthood.
Hull said, "As a housecall pediatrician, I see families in the comfort of their homes for extended visits. As I spent time with my patients’ families in the privacy of their homes, an intriguing pattern emerged—numerous women expressed a deep-seated worry about a diminished confidence and bodily autonomy after childbirth which affects the connection they share with their partner. I created Artemis to provide a female physician-led resource for women and couples dealing with sexual wellness challenges. Now, I’m a private practice pediatrician by day, women’s pleasure advocate after dark."
Although it may seem unusual for a pediatrician to also serve as an erotic educator, Hull believes that her role as a sexual wellness leader is a natural extension of her work as a physician.
Hull added, "As a pediatrician, I possess a unique perspective on the undeniable link between human sexuality and parenting. This connection has led me to recognize the crucial role I can play in addressing human sexuality as a vital aspect of physical and mental health. Sadly, society has long relegated this topic to a realm of shame and silence, resulting in fractured marriages and relationships due to sexual incompatibility. The consequences of this lack of connection and intimacy are far-reaching, manifesting in numerous physical and mental health problems. From depression, resentment, and substance abuse to infidelity, poor diet, and self-neglect, the impact is undeniable. The intersection of human sexuality and overall health is glaringly evident. I created Artemis Luxury Wellness to help women and couples summon the courage to acknowledge and openly discuss this crucial aspect of our lives."
The summer retreat features facilitators spanning the gamut of sexual expertise, including internationally renowned authorities in the fields of medicine, psychology, and somatic therapy. Session topics range from "Female Pelvic Health and Sexual Wellness" to "Using Toys to Elevate Pleasure" and "The Psychology of Kink." The event also includes "After Dark" presentations which will feature a live performance of the Japanese Art of Rope Bondage and experts teaching "Enhancing Erotic Potential through Tantra." The retreat will host invitation-only social mixers throughout the Memorial Day holiday weekend and private sessions can be booked with clinicians and therapists.
Catering for the retreat will be provided by world-class Las Vegas Chef Kristina Kaswwiner of Delightful Chefs, and Celebrity Health and Fitness Guru, Chef Kas. Limousine transportation will be provided to and from Encore Resort. Tickets for the event start at $250.
