Jopen Celebrates Sex Week At Harvard University

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Jopen once again participated in Harvard’s annual Sex Week event by donating product for distribution to students.

Harvard's Sex Week is coordinated by the Sexual Health and Education and Advocacy Throughout Harvard (SHEATH) group. A recognized student-run organization, the group promotes programming that provides a holistic understanding of sex and sexuality. According to the SHEATH Co-President Lita Pena, sex week "opens up dialogue about sex, sexuality, and sexual health all over campus" and this year's event created even more excitement.

There were 12 events scheduled, including seminars and workshops touching on sexual stereotypes, gender, sex toys, condoms and other sexual health related topics.

“Jopen is a company that promotes progressive sexual attitudes, and we believe that education and information are vital for making the right choices when it comes to our overall well-being,” said Susan Colvin, founder and CEO of Jopen. "We commend SHEATH and are proud to help them in their mission to raise awareness about sex and sexuality during Harvard Sex Week."

Robin Stewart, Brand Manager for Jopen, added, “Jopen is honored to be involved with SHEATH. Their commitment to educating people about sexual health, pleasure, and sexuality is commendable.”

Harvard Sex Week took place Oct. 31 through Nov. 6. Last year's event reached more than 1,000 people and involved more than 21 student groups and Harvard offices.
