LOS ANGELES—Wicked Pictures contract performer and sex educator Jessica Drake is sponsoring the sex worker summit and meet up, May 3 and May 4, at CatalystCon.
“The theme for the sex worker summit and meet up is Surviving and Thriving and we will focus on growth and community. I am honored to sponsor these events and to be included on the panel where I will be able to share my thoughts on the role beauty and image play in sexual expression,” Drake said. “Everyone faces pressure about how they look and how they are perceived based on appearance. I am looking forward to creating greater awareness about this issue!”
Drake will also appear on the panel “Beautism and Sexuality: How Society’s Representation of Beauty and Image Impact Sexual Self-Expression” on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
The panel will focus on human interaction and the role image plays in all encounters including how sexual partners are chosen, which is largely influenced by societal standards of beauty and why those who don’t meet the standards are often overlooked as sexual beings.
CatalystCon will be held May 4-6 at The Westin Los Angeles Airport, 5855 W. Century Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90045. The event is an annual conference created to inspire conversations about sexuality with the aim of changing how society talks about and treats sexuality.
