LOS ANGELES—Wicked Pictures contract performer Jessica Drake will share her insights on inclusion and equality in marketing when she participates in the panel The Power of Equality at the AVN Novelty Expo on Wednesday, January 23.
The panel will take place at 11 a.m. at Festival Hall C at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas as part of the AVN Novelty Expo. The event will gather members of the adult entertainment industry including those in adult novelty, apparel, and online segments, featuring the newest products, latest news and a variety of seminars, speakers, and related events. “I am honored to be a part of this exciting panel and join with all of these accomplished and forward-minded individuals,” drake said. “Despite the rise of the alt right and efforts to turn back the clock on race relations, business people, corporations, and even small businesses are realizing the importance of inclusion and affording those of different backgrounds, ethnic groups, gender identification, sexual orientation, and others the ability to share in the value of their products, services and unique experiences! It’s this powerful vision of inclusion, equality, and diversity that has made our country unlike any other and drives change worldwide. I hope you will join us in this engaging panel discussion!”
The Power of Equality panel will focus on how some businesses may think they have it all covered, but when it comes to their products, stores, and even their staff, they may realize that they may not be very inclusive. From wording on product packaging to who is communicating their messaging to clients and customers, diversity can make or break a brand. Panelists will help manufacturers and retailers learn what they might be missing out on by ignoring different races, religions, cultures and more.
“As a performer and a sex educator, Jessica brings a unique perspective to this panel,” said Sherri L. Shaulis, senior editor for AVN. “She has long been a proponent of diversity in all sectors of the adult industry and has used her voice and platform time and time again to champion for inclusion."
Nominated in three categories at the 2019 AVN Awards, drake is known for her best-selling adult movies and popular live appearances at men’s clubs. She is also a frequent contributor to a variety of media outlets, as well as being a highly sought-after sexual wellness speaker and educator, who lectures at universities, leads seminars, and workshops, around the world.
