Fun Factory Is Ceremony Sponsor of Virtual SEX+ Summit

LOS ANGELES—Sex toy manufacturer Fun Factory has signed onto The SEX+ Summit as Ceremony Sponsor, and it will host two live ceremonies during the digital event, including a group tarot reading with Black Feminist folk-healer Jade T. Perry to kick off the Summit, and a yoga session hosted by teacher and musician Prince Puja. The SEX+ Summit is scheduled for Oct. 2-4, 2020, and aims to highlight the intersection of sexuality, pleasure, healing and liberation.

Fun Factory also will utilize the opening night and Sunday ceremonies to showcase brand-new technology never before seen from the award-winning company. SEX+ Summit attendees will get a first look at the new sex tech and enjoy an introduction to a brand-new product.

“As an ethical sex toy brand and manufacturer, we truly believe that how we source, manufacture, package and market each product is as important as the pleasure that it brings you,” said Kristen Tribby, Head of Global Marketing at Fun Factory. “The SEX+ Summit’s approach to sexuality and pleasure is the future we want to see, and supporting this evolution is an honor. We are especially excited to use this opportunity to unveil our newest technology which will help redefine your path to orgasm.”

Hosted by experienced sex educators and cultural event producers, the SEX+ Summit brings together experts, practitioners and healers whose work intersects sexuality, sensuality and identity. This weekend-long digital event centers Black, queer, non-binary and non-Black POC voices to foster conversations about sex, sexuality and spirituality often left out of mainstream wellness and sexuality spaces.

Joining the SEX+ Summit are Sexuality Doula Ev’Yan Whitney, and author, LGBTQ+ advocate and pundit Jeffrey Marsh as keynote speakers. Panelists include astrologer Dayna Lynn Nuckolls of The People’s Oracle, Body Relationship Coach Ivy Felicia, trauma expert and queer media consultant Jimanekia Eborn, activist and artist Sean Saifa Wall of the Intersex Justice Project, therapist and body acceptance advocate Sonalee Rashatwar, President and CEO of SIECUS—Sex Ed for Social Change Christine Soyong Harley, and several others.

“There is nothing better than seeing people, especially Black people, be themselves and/or regain confidence to be their sexual selves,” said Nhakia Outland, MSW, founder of @prevention_is_key and @preventionmeetsfashion and SEX+ Summit panel speaker. “We are learning to defy the stereotypes and negative views about our bodies and love and embrace our sexuality as Black people.”

“I always say, if sex is food, then sensuality is its flavor,” said Elle Chase, CSE, sex educator, body acceptance advocate and SEX+ Summit pleasure workshop host. “I love how sensuality is so dynamic, diverse and distinctive, and I'm always astounded by the myriad ways it shows up for us throughout our lives.”

“It's an exciting time to be a part of the SEX+ Summit,” said Tracy Felder, pleasure product educator and SEX+ Summit pleasure workshop host. “It means that there's a great shift in diversity and how society is ready to be educated with folks that relate to them daily when it comes to sexuality. I'm happy to be a part of the movement.”
