LAS VEGAS—Shipper’s Advocate will once again return as bar sponsor for the AVN Novelty Expo, taking place Jan. 18-20 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas.
Last year’s Expo was the company’s first time at ANE, and Shipper’s Advocate is already saving thousands of dollars in shipping for several of the largest players in the adult industry. Word is getting around that they not only know their stuff, but they can be trusted to look out for their clients’ bottom lines. This year, they come to the show with even more to offer.
“After 15 years of specializing in getting money back from UPS and FedEx for our customers, and scouting our industry for the best potential partners, we’ve formed three very select strategic alliances,” said Doug Carnes, founder of Shipper’s Advocate. “We’re ramping up the savings we offer by an order of magnitude or better.”
Now, Shipper’s Advocate comes to the bar with UPS/FedEx/DHL contract negotiations consulting services, a transportation management system that dramatically reduces time and effort while providing oversight and information management efficiencies, and freight cost management services that drive down costs for domestic LTL and Truckload as well as international Ocean and Air freight.
Before founding Shipper’s Advocate, Carnes was a corporate manager for UPS. He participated in developing the very rules and practices Shipper’s Advocate now uses to turn the tables on the carriers. Shipper’s Advocate’s new partners are also “insiders” who developed pricing models and procedures that govern the carriers’ business practices. Together, Shipper’s Advocate and their allies employ their experience and expertise to beat the carriers at their own games, provide visibility into transportation cost drivers, inform shipping processes, and generate direct, hard dollar savings for their clients.
“We had a great time and did good business last year,” Doug said. “But we also found ourselves meeting folks that it has been a real joy to serve. We work with just about every industry, but nowhere else have we encountered business people so forthright and open. We look forward to coming back every year, to becoming an ongoing part of this community, and to saving the adult industry a whole lot of money in the years to come.”
