THE NETHERLANDS—The Royal Dutch Soccer Association (KNVB) has denied an application from Shots to sponsor N.E.C. in the club’s upcoming match against Feyenoord Rotterdam.
Shots officials said they were informed the denial was issued because of shirt regulations and UEFA Kit Regulations that prohibits any company related to the adult industry from participating as a sponsor.
“It is with pain in our hearts that we have to state that even in a liberal country like the Netherlands there is still quite a big taboo when it come to these issues.,” a company official said.
Shots employees said they still plan to cheer on the team in the match this month.
