Pleasure Chest to Donate 15 Percent of Sales on January 16 to Haiti Aid Efforts

The Pleasure Chest announces that in response to the devastation in Haiti, 15 percent of sales nationwide in our Chicago, Los Angeles and New York stores on Jan. 16 will be donated to Partners in Health, an organization that provides community-based health programs in Haiti and throughout the world.

The focus of Partners in Health is on preventing common illnesses as well as HIV prevention and treatment. Haiti was the location of the organization’s pilot program, and Partners in Health has been doing work there since 1998. The organization offered the first program to provide free, comprehensive HIV care and treatment in an impoverished setting. Partners in Health workers are rooted in Haiti's communities, and their work there is incredibly crucial at this time.

“Since 1971 Pleasure Chest has been dedicated to serving its communities, and at this time we wish to join the global community in giving what we can to aid the people of Haiti,” said owner Brian Robinson.
