The Pleasure Chest is currently seeking a store manager for theChicagostore to lead a team of Sex Specialists. The ideal candidate will have a retail background, at least two years of supervisory experience, a strong understanding of sex-positivity and a desire to work in a diverse environment. This position is full-time and does offer insurance benefits after a probationary period.
The store manager is responsible for overseeing and actively participating in the floor operations, implementing company policies, overseeing weekly ordering and leading sales growth, merchandising and outreach initiatives. TheChicagostore manager is expected to balance the day-to-day operations of the store and special projects/national initiatives.
The store manager must be customer-oriented with an interest in sales and educating our customers in a manner that is sex positive. The store manager is expected to supervise a diverse team of Sex Specialists in a motivating and supportive manner. The store manager must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and experience managing a team of people.
Areas of responsibility include:
Implement Pleasure Chest's customer service and Sex Education standards on the sales floor
Hire, train, schedule and supervise a diverse staff
Build and maintain a strong team
Uphold company policies in a manner that is fair and consistent
Implement sales development initiatives in theLos Angelesstore, as well as preparing monthly sales reports
Prepare bi-weekly payroll/ manage benefits for location
Weekly orders/maintain appropriate stock levels in the store
Execute local marketing initiatives, promotions and coordinating donations
Maintain the appearance of the store and merchandising
