CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Pipedream University (PDU) had yet another successful two-day weekend seminar at Pipedream's main campus in Chatsworth, Calif. Designed to give its distribution partners the training and tools they need to effectively merchandise and market its award-winning brands, PDU is building up momentum and enhancing relationships around the country with this one-of-a-kind program.
Over the weekend, East Coast News (ECN) was the fifth distribution company to graduate from the two-day course, which was served with healthy portions of business, education, and pleasure. The ECN team was treated to an exciting weekend in which they were given an inside look at Pipedream's shipping, receiving, manufacturing, and day-to-day operations.
"It was great watching both companies interact. These seminars are all about team-building and both teams are looking forward to a great new year!" said Pipedream CEO Nick Orlandino.
"East Coast News' hard work and dedication over the weekend proves why they are one of top distributors in the U.S.," said Pipedream Visual Merchandiser Briana Honz. "Professional and driven, they were impressed at Pipedream's culture and dedication to being Number One. We are honored to call them our business partners as well as our friends, and we are all looking forward to a very successful 2013!"
In Pipedream's traditional style of hospitality, PDU attendees were treated to fun, food, and festivities in beautiful Southern California—between class sessions, of course.
The crew of East Coast News also shared their excitement over their weekend at Pipedream's campus.
"I want to thank Pipedream's entire crew for a great weekend," said ECN Sales Executive Rick Sicurella. "The combination of PDU, Pipedream's professionalism and hospitality were once again way over the top. Nobody does it like Pipedream!"
"I want to thank Pipedream for a class A job!" said East Coast News Sales Manager Alan Mandell. "I find Pipedream to be one of the most proactive and creative companies in the industry."
After a full weekend of factory tours, in-depth merchandise training, a get-together at the CEO's residence, and a lighthearted graduation ceremony, the East Coast News crew all agreed that PDU was a fun and valuable experience.
