Megan Andelloux Adds 3 Educators To Study Sex College Tour Staff

PAWTUCKET, R.I.— Megan Andelloux has selected three new, experienced sexuality educators to join her on her Study Sex College Tour (SSCT). The SSCT tackles topics ranging from the history and biology of sex, to decoding individual sexual desires and fantasies, on campuses nationwide.

"With the new school year almost here, we at the CSPH are getting ready to go back to school too!” said Andelloux, a board certified sexologist and AASECT certified sexuality educator. “To meet our ever-growing lecture schedule, I'm super thrilled to be bringing Kira, Raisa, and Cassandra on board.”

The three new educators join Andelloux with impressive credentials of their own:

Cassandra Corradoco-organized the first ever Sex Week at New College of Florida, where she also co-authored New College's Best Practices Recommendations for Gender Inclusivity in the Classroom, led Title IX working groups, fought for better trans-inclusive policies on campus, opened the SHARE (Sexual Health and Relationship Education) Resource Center, a 24/7 drop-in center dedicated to providing a safe space to learn about un/healthy relationships and healthier sexual behaviors. Her teaching focus areas include healthy relationship education, consent education, gender inclusivity, and LGBTQIA+ competence.

Kira Manseris a licensed social worker with a masters in education in human sexuality, also working toward her doctorate in human sexuality from Widener University, examining the experience of gender identity development for neurodiverse individuals. Manser has worked as a sex educator in a large range of settings, from middle schools to medical schools, for over a decade. While in Philadelphia, she was the LGBT Health and Capacity Training Manager at The Mazzoni Center, organized the 13th Annual Philadelphia Trans-Health Conference, and co-founded the sex education collaborative ScrewSmart. Energetic and friendly, she strives to create spaces that challenge and support individuals to explore sexuality by using active methods and affirmative and feminist-informed therapeutic modalities. Now in Rhode Island, Manser is currently working on the RI Trans* Health Initiative to create systemic change in support of accessible and sustainable health care for trans* Rhode Islanders.

Raisa S. Negrónhas spent the majority of her career as a sexuality educator, teaching and improving the sexual health needs of many individuals. With 15 years of experience, including a BA in psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University, Raisa shares her message of how body image, individual culture, and sexual expression, including our overall health, are interconnected, and an integral part of who we are. Raisa recently worked with persons struggling with tobacco, alcohol, other substance misuse, and provided brief interventions or referrals for improving health outcomes. She has spoken at many venues, including nonprofit agencies, boards, high schools / colleges, and several national conferences, often focusing on Latina sexual empowerment, sexual pleasure, and health. While she hails from the Connecticut/New York area, she currently has been transplanted to the Southwest, where her fluency in Spanish makes her a qualified medical interpreter and trainer in the healthcare industry.

“These dynamic, experienced sexuality educators are bringing a new burst of energy and knowledge to our talented pool, and I'm sure we will soon be reaching even more campuses than ever before," Andelloux said. "I'm thrilled to have The CSPH reaching more young adults across the nation, and we are ready to get started!”

Widely known for her innovative workshops and her sex positive approach to sexuality education, Andelloux is one of the nation’s most sought-after sexuality educators, invited back to 94 percent of all colleges and universities where she has presented. Andelloux started the SSCT as the sole educator in 2009; since then, the demand for her expertise and unique style of education has far exceeded her capacity. With the addition of Manser, Corrado, and Negron, the SSCT now has the capacity to grow, educate, and inform more students at more colleges and universities than ever before.

The Study Sex College Tours have reached more than 45,000 students nationwide, including talks at Tufts University, University of Rhode Island, Northeastern University, and more; this year’s fall tour will start August 29, at Brandeis University. Proceeds from the SSCT support the Pawtucket-based nonprofit The Center for Sexual Pleasure & Health. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, The CSPH is an educational organization, which works to reduce sexual shame, challenge misinformation and advance the field of sexuality. The CSPH provides sex-positive sexuality education and cultural dialogue through a wide variety of programming, including workshops, performances, and events for community members; practical skill-building events and classes for emerging and experienced professionals; and presentations for hospitals, medical organizations and at national conferences. The Center also maintains one of the largest sexual resource and media libraries in the northeast, available for public perusal.
