GrandOpening.com to Donate 10 Percent of Online Sales to One Fund Boston

LOS ANGELES—Kim Airs, owner of Grand Opening! sexuality boutique, now on the web at GrandOpening.com, has pledged to donate 10 percent of all internet sales from the site to the newly formed One Fund Boston to aid those affected by the recent tragedy during the running of the Boston Marathon.

“I lived in Boston for 26 years and opened Grand Opening! in Coolidge Corner, Brookline, in 1993,” stated Kim Airs, Grand Opening!’s founder.  “Grand Opening! was steps away from the 24-mile marker of the Boston Marathon and I have many happy memories of cheering on the runners while they went past. I am heartbroken about the senseless, violent act that rained down the runners and spectators on what had always been a happy day in Boston and Massachusetts.”

In response to the disaster, Kim has pledged to donate 10 percent of all online sales during the next month, to One Fund Boston, created by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Menino in order to raise money to help those families most affected by the tragic events that unfolded during Monday’s Boston Marathon.

“I have and always will be associated with Boston and this will be my way of reaching out to help those in need,” Kim continued. “I hope people will support the cause and make their online purchases through grandopening.com and help those who need it most right now. And my thoughts and prayers are with all in Boston who have suffered so much.”
