SAN FRANCISCO—Good Vibrations, the trusted San Francisco-based company that takes pride in providing accurate information on sexuality and toys for grown-ups, is delighted to announce a new partnership with three regional nonprofits united in the fight to end hunger as part of their corporate giving initiative, GiVe.
Beneficiary organizations are Meals on Wheels San Francisco, the Berkeley Meals on Wheels, or the Greater Boston Food Bank.
From Nov. 15 through Dec. 31 Good Vibrations’ customers can support these regional nonprofits in Good Vibrations retail locations:San Francisco,Berkeley,Massachusettsand online. Shoppers can make a financial gift at the time of their Good Vibrations purchase and 100 percent of the contribution goes to the nonprofit of their choice.
Meals on Wheels of San Francisco is committed to the belief that all seniors have the right to live independently with dignity and respect in their own homes for as long as it is safely possible. It is their mission to provide isolated homebound seniors inSan Franciscowith nutritious meals, daily human contact and supportive services to prevent their premature institutionalization. MOWSF serves two meals daily to more than 1,800 seniors.
Berkeley Meals on Wheels provides more than 50,000 hot and tasty meals to homebound seniors each year, offering a nutritious meal and daily check-in to frail seniors so that they can continue to live independently in their own homes. A team of dedicated volunteers delivers meals to seniors throughoutBerkeley—and in trueBerkeleystyle, deliveries are made through the use of cars, bicycles and feet (pedestrian delivery routes).
The Greater Boston Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization inNew Englandand among the largest food banks in the country. GBFB acquires and distributes more than 36.7 million pounds of food and grocery products annually to 550 member hunger-relief agencies and 30 direct service programs throughout easternMassachusettsin a dedicated partnership to end hunger in our community. This provides enough meals for as many as 545,000 people. GBFB is a member of Feeding America, the nation's food bank network.
GiVe is Good Vibrations' extensive donation and sponsorship program. For more than 30 years Good Vibrations has partnered with hundreds of local and national nonprofit organizations donating products, advertising and sponsorship for fundraisers and has provided much needed support for women’s shelters, HIV/AIDS research, art programs, LGBT benefits, breast cancer awareness and much more. Additionally, every several months Good Vibrations partners with a different nonprofit organization and encourages their customers to contribute directly to them at check-out, online and in the stores.
