Good Vibes’ Carol Queen Kicking Off East Coast Tour

SAN FRANCISCO—Good Vibrations' Staff Sexologist Dr. Carol Queen brings her unique blend of entertaining sex education to the East Coast this week in a series of appearances at colleges, festivals, and Good Vibrations' retail store in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Following her presentation “The story of sex-positive culture: how ideas about sexual freedom and diversity became a movement” at Simmons College on Oct. 7, Queen then traveled to MIT to speak to the graduate consortium in women's studies on Oct. 8 on “What Women and Other People Need From Dirty Movies,” exploring what pornography teaches us about sexuality, gender roles, and norms and asking what we want from our smut.

College students can catch Queen in a more informal setting at CollegeFest on this weekend, Oct. 12-13, where she will be answering sex questions and discussing sex and safety. Visitors to the Good Vibrations booth can spin the Wheel of Pleasure and win free prizes to compliment their education.

The education keeps coming with her presentation of “The Top 10 Little-Known Facts about Sex and Pleasure” at the Good Vibrations Brookline store on Monday, Oct. 14. Drop in and learn some game-changing fun facts about sexual arousal and response, technique, and anatomy. Get a better understanding of your body (and the bodies of people with whom you might find yourself in a sexual situation) and make orgasms stronger and easier to attain.

Good Vibrations, the trusted San Francisco Bay Area based company, has been providing comprehensive sexual health outreach workshops to local universities and community organizations for over 36 years. This year the company is pleased to launch its re-branded outreach program: Good Vibrations Sexual Health Outreach Workshops (GVSHOW).

"I'm delighted to participate in the current conversation about sex, education and culture, and these are great opportunities to reach a variety of people. Whether it's at MIT or Good Vibrations, I look forward to a lot of meaningful conversations and exciting exchange of ideas," Queen said.
