Erotic Heritage Museum Hosts Pre-Party For 1st Las Vegas Naked Bike Ride

LAS VEGAS, Nev.—Celebrating the one-year anniversary party of the "World’s Largest Sex Bike Launch," Harry Mohney’s Erotic Heritage Museum will serve as the staging location for the first-ever "Naked Bike Ride" in Sin City. A Vegas summer is the perfect time for folks to be as “Bare as they Dare” riding the very best of human-powered transportation. One of the many World Naked Bike Rides staged yearly throughout the world, this unique get-together marks the first time Las Vegas has experienced such an event—which actually might draw more than just onlookers and participants: John Q. Law might just have to get involved.

“Most Las Vegans are unaware that it is against the law to appear naked in Clark County,” Erotic Heritage Museum director Dr. Victoria R. Hartmann noted. “Public nudity is illegal here, even in our hyper-sexual city. You can be arrested, potentially thrown in jail, even placed on the sex offenders list for something as simple as being seen naked walking by your window… in your own home!”

The World Naked Bike Ride, as well as the 24,000 square foot Erotic Heritage Museum, shares many of the same interests: fighting body-shaming, bolstering positive sexual exploration and education, bringing communities together, and working for a greener world. The Erotic Heritage Museum pre-party, beginning around 6 p.m., will offer free food, non-alcoholic beverages, vendors, bike mechanics, tabling, and a live D.J.. The museum’s space will serve as the perfect place for riders to gather and prepare their routes, while the ride itself, a World Naked Bike Production, will begin at approximately 8 p.m.

“We wish to give people a safe space in which to gather and share ideas on how to overcome injustices, share in the positive feelings of expressing their sexuality, and provide a safe spot on our private property for cyclists and others to come and discuss institutionalized indecency laws in a public forum.”

The organizers of The World Naked Bike Ride recommend their attendees/riders obey the laws of Clark County by wearing pasties and G-strings.

This free event, running from 6 to 10 p.m. on June 11, starts at Harry Mohney's Erotic Heritage Museum, located at 3275 Sammy Davis Junior Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89109.

 Come undressed to impress!
