Doc Johnson Makes Appearance In Showtime’s ‘House of Lies’

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Doc Johnson is pleased with their collaboration with Showtime’s hit series House of Lies.

House of Lies is an American television drama/comedy, in its second season, which follows a company of consultants who stop at nothing to seal the deal. In the eighth episode of the current season, the consultants will be working with an iconic adult toy company, clearly shown as Doc Johnson, to help maintain their commitment to American manufacturing. The House of Lies cast and crew shot on-location at Doc Johnson’s North Hollywood facility last fall, shooting in production areas and the main office.

Adam Brody guest stars in the three-episode arc as the adult manufacturer’s young CEO determined to usher his family’s legacy into a bright and successful future. One might say this storyline was tailored to Doc Johnson’s company history.

“It was an amazing experience, having the House of Lies crew at Doc Johnson,” said Doc Johnson COO Chad Braverman. “The skill and professionalism demonstrated by the crew was a true testament to their craft. The cast was incredibly gracious and friendly during filming and we hope that they enjoyed their time the spent at Doc Johnson as much as we enjoyed having them. American manufacturing is at our core, and we are honored to participate in a story that tackles the struggles American manufacturers face.”

Showtime and House of Lies have released two teasers that have been shared across the web, including by major media sites like People Magazine. The first sneak-peek video features Kristin Bell and Adam Brody using the Lucid Dream No. 14 to segue into other activities. The second Showtime teaser includes shots of Doc Johnson’s manufacturing facility and the other second season major storylines that episode 8 will cover.

"We are so excited to have our products featured on such an engaging and well written series,” said Doc Johnson Director of Marketing and Public Relations Victoria Bowman-Steinour. “We appreciate this opportunity from Showtime to showcase a fictionalized version of our story and highlighting our actual products to the millions of viewers of House of Lies.”

House of Lies airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Ratings are strong in this second season of House of Lies, averaging 3.2 million weekly viewers; second only to the network’s other top-rated show, Shameless, which garners an average of 5.4 million weekly viewers.
