Autoblow 2 Maker's Crowdfunding Campaign For Slaphappy Reaches Halfway Point

CHICAGO—Slaphappy, the new flat bendable vibrator for women and couples, recently surpassed the halfway point of its Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. The campaign came on the heels of inventor Brian Sloan’s successfully crowdfunded Autoblow 2, the world’s first realistic robotic oral sex simulator for men.

In the month that Slaphappy—“the Swiss Army Knife of vibrators”—has been on crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, nearly 300 people have pledged between $35-45, a steep discount off of the retail price, to be the first to receive the product in February 2015.

Buzzfeed was one of the first news outlets to introduce consumers to Slaphappy, the only novelty with its own infomercial style video. Refinery29 noted that “with its ability to transition smoothly from a solo vibe to a couples' toy to a hand-saving makeshift whip, you'll get more than your money's worth.” Betabeat praised Sloan’s “innovative idea make a vibrator with as many different shapes and features as possible.” The article also stated “And you thought Kim Kardashian broke the Internet.”

“After launching the Autoblow 2 for men, I wanted to make something for women, because I like women. If I had a vagina, I wouldn’t really enjoy the fact that I had to buy 10 different vibrators to get the job done. So I made something that rolled the functionality of a drawer full of vibrators into one small toy,” said Sloan.

Slaphappy is a 6.5 inch-long bendable waterproof clitoral and G-spot vibrator made of medical-grade silicone. Because its flat, it can also be used as a spanking implement. Slaphappy runs on two AAA batteries, is virtually silent, and will retail for $65 when it launches in spring 2015.
