AdamEve.com Asks, "Have You Ever Faked It?"

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C.AdamEve.com, America's most trusted source for adult products, isn't afraid to ask the questions that make grown-ups blush! They recently asked over 1,000 adults if they've ever faked an orgasm… and why?

While most men (77 percent) denied ever faking it, nearly half (47 percent) of the women admitted they faked it on occasion. Their reasons ranged from "it just wasn't going to happen" (35 percent), to "I didn't want to hurt my partner's feelings (23 percent) and "I wanted it to be over" (13 percent). Other explanations included "I was tired" (7 percent), "I was bored" (4 percent), and "I was uncomfortable" (3 percent).

Adam & Eve's resident sex expert, Dr. Kat Van Kirk, says that although these figures don't surprise her, they are disappointing.

"It's disheartening to see that women are still unable to ask for what they want and need in the bedroom," said Dr. Kat. "Communication is the key to sexual happiness, and I would encourage women to be both more vocal and unapologetic with their needs. Many men, in fact, find this arousing."

Chad Davis, Director of Marketing for Adam & Eve added, "Adam & Eve encourages every American adult to explore and enjoy a healthy sex life. With sales results showing more women customers than ever purchasing from adameve.com, we are hopeful women are gaining confidence in asking for what they want."

The web-based survey, conducted by an independent third party survey company, of over 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices. "Sex Chat with Dr. Kat" and "Daily Sex Tips from Hawaii" can be found on podcasts through iTunes or here.
