Clips4Sale 'Legal Zone' to Cover EARN IT Act on Monday's Show

TAMPA, Fla.—Clips4Sale's "Legal Zone," the continuing webinar series hosted by Clips4Sale founder and leader Neil and industry attorney Corey D. Silverstein, returns on Monday, July 27, at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, and will be covering the anti-privacy EARN IT Act (aka the Eliminating Abusive and Rampant Neglect of Interactive Technologies Act), virtual trade shows and CityXGuide.com being seized by the government last month.

On Monday's legal webinar, which will feature recurring guest attorney Lawrence Walters, the trio will focus again on the EARN IT Act and new updates. If passed, the government would require adult content moderation policies and prohibit encryption that would allow online platforms to retain their current immunity. The Act has been picking up steam, and many senators are getting behind it. The consequences of passage of the EARN IT Act could be devastating and far reaching, and the hosts will have some ideas on how the adult industry can take action.

The next topics to be under discussion will be how 2020 has become the age of virtual tradeshows and the seizure of CityXGuide.com by the US government. CityXGuide.com is considered “a leading source of online advertisements for prostitution and sex trafficking,” and users have described it as “taking over from where Backpage left off.”

“Threats to online freedom and sexual expression are looming in both Congress and the courts. We will break down the most important legal developments in this important session, which should not be missed," advised Walters.

The webinar will run for 60 minutes, and there will be a live Q&A throughout, during which listeners may pose questions.
