DETROIT—Corey D. Silverstein, owner of WebsiteAttorney.com, MyAdultAttorney.com, and Adult.Law, has announced that he will be attending TES 2024 and also shared his TES 2024 speaking lineup.
The European Summit—also known as the TES Affiliate Conference—happens from Feb. 23 to 26, 2024 at The Oitavos Hotel in Cascais, Portugal. Silverstein’s speaking events are scheduled for the 25th and the 26th.
First up is the “Annual Legal Update – The Biggest Issues of 2024 (Age Verification & More...),” slated for Feb. 25, from 11:00 to 11:50 a.m. (local time). This seminar will catch attendees up on all of the major legal developments and what they should be doing.
2023 was a crazy year for developments in the law for internet businesses across the globe. In the United States, age verification has exploded, the FTC has opened an official investigation into ChatGPT, and the Supreme Court made major rulings related to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act affecting all platforms that allow user-submitted content. In Europe, accusations of illegal data collection are heating up as GDPR enforcement has seemingly entered into a new era, and various countries have continued with laws aimed at internet censorship.
Next up is “Helping European Businesses Entering and Operating in the United States Marketplace,” slated for Feb. 26, from 3:00 to 3:50 p.m. (local time).
It's not uncommon for European businesses to be wary of entering the United States marketplace. United States laws and regulations can be intimidating to European business operators, but they don't have to be. This seminar will help attendees prepare for the U.S. marketplace through a candid discussion about legal hurdles and practical business considerations. The goal of this seminar is to make attendees more comfortable about doing business in the United States.
