Pineapple Support Announces PornStar Platinum as Sponsor

LOS ANGELESPineapple Support has brought aboard PornStar Platinum as a Supporter-Level Sponsor.

PornStar Platinum joins more than 50 adult businesses and organizations in committing funds and resources to the mental health organization.

“This year marks 20 years in the adult industry for us and we have yet to see anything on the scale of what Pineapple Support is offering performers,” said JC Baumgartner, president of PornStar Platinum. “Every company big and small should be contributing to this cause on some level. Without these performers none of us would even be in business.”

Pineapple Support was founded by British performer Leya Tanit in 2018, after a string of deaths in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organization, which is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States and a registered charity in the U.K., has so far connected over 2,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling and emotional support.

"Contributions from organisations like PornStar Platinum are vital in helping us to reach the many sex workers around the world that are struggling with their mental health and well-being because of the pandemic," Tanit said. "I’m incredibly grateful for all of our generous sponsors that enable us to continue providing emotional support to those that need it most.”
