Axel Abysse, the gay fisting/kink auteur who styles himself "the poet of pornography," has taken his artistry and style to tropical Okinawa for a Pacific island-set scene, “The Shore”. Filmed in secret to avoid running afoul of authorities, the lush update to AxelAbysse.com is described by its creator as “A fisting tale under the burning sun of Okinawa,” where “a lifeguard rescues a stranded merman from the abyss.”
Abysse directs and stars with fan favorite Asher Hattori (in what Hattori has announced as his final scene). Videography is credited to Abysse’s partner Kosmic Sans, and original music score is by 3PM. “The Shore” is available online now.
Abysse described his newest project as one of his “most intense and beautiful shooting experiences.” According to the acclaimed director, “Water is my element. I’m from the sea, the sea is home, I can never leave it too long or I lose myself. The merman is an analogue of myself.”
Though he’s proud of the final result as the kind of pornography he himself loves to watch, getting it made was not trouble free. “Sea water, sand and wind are the worst combo for both filming equipment and fisting. We had to wait for the sun, but when it showed up it was so strong my skin started to burn (I’m whiter than white and have to bathe in sunscreen every 15 minutes to survive).”
Videographer Kosmic Sans takes his first credit for Abysse Productions with “The Shore”. He explains, “I’m excited to be part of a project that’s taking extreme porn out of its box, far from stereotypes, giving space for more intimacy and authentic beauty.”
Composer 3PM concurs. “The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful location and cinematography. With a fetish film it can be difficult to find the right tone for the music to fit. Not gritty or intense, this scene was about beauty and connection. Once I was able to lock in on that, the music came naturally.”
Abysse is riding high after receiving a raft of new awards. X Awards at Darklands Festival in Antwerp named Axel as Best Fetish Porn Star for 2020. Raven’s Eden Awards singled him out as well, as this year’s Best Fetish Performer. And after his unfortunate scuffle with the content police of Twitter, the latest news from Axel Abysse is finally back on the social media site via a new account called @axelabyssefans.
