LOS ANGELES—This Saturday, the Tom of Finland Foundation is hosting a fundraiser for erotic photographer Rick Castro as part of its upcoming Tom's Garage event at Faultline Bar in Los Angeles.
Castro is a professional photographer and the curator of Antebellum fetish art gallery in Hollywood. Recently, Castro won the Artist Lifetime Achievement Award from the Tom of Finland Foundation for years of commitment to the erotic art community. Among hist best-known works are "13 Years of Bondage" and "Hustler White."
"On February 14, I was attacked on the Metro Red Line. I sustained a leg injury which has put me out of commission," said Castro in a public statement. "As an independent artist, taking time for healing has placed a huge financial burden to contend with."
Those wishing to show their support can do so February 27 at the Tom's Garage party at Faultline Bar at 4216 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. The party gets under way at 9 p.m. For more details on the event, click here.
