TheSword Names New Editor, Sharpens Focus

SAN FRANCISCO—Paul Bookstaber has assumed the position of editor at the NakedSword-owned blog, TheSword.com. Bookstaber replaces co-founder Michael Stabile following Stabile’s departure from NakedSword along with fellow TheSword co-founder Jay Barmann.

Prior to assuming the reins, Bookstaber served as the blog’s events and media editor. He will be assisted in documenting all things gay by longtime NakedSword videographer Jessie Garcia, who will serve the blog as video editor in addition to continuing his role as video editor for all other original NakedSword content.

Concurrent with the change in editorial leadership, the award-winning online tabloid also has received a facelift and refocused its attention on gay porn and sex by vowing to incorporate more exclusive on-set video coverage, original image galleries and inside-the-industry news.

“TheSword has always been fun and informative,” said NakedSword Chief Executive Officer Tim Valenti. “And now, with its new focus on exclusive stories and video, the industry tabloid is becoming an unstoppable force.

“Along with NakedSword’s other porn-fan portals GayPornBlog and ‘The Tim & Roma show,’ TheSword will continue to provide behind-the-scenes access to big-budget productions and low-rent drama,” Valenti added.

Editorial and advertising inquiries may be directed to Bookstaber via email.
