BARCELONA—Private Media Group has re-launched its gay adult brand, Mansize. The move is part of the company’s expansion into the gay market that began with the 2009 acquisition of Toronto-based Maleflixxx parent company Sureflix Digital Distribution.
The brand re-launch will kick off with the scheduled April release of Mansize’s 14th title, Men in Suits: Fucked by the Boss. Directed by Roland Dane, the movie stars 13 Eastern European hunks including Max Summers and the twins Fabrizo and Fernando Mangiatti.
Since Mansize’s launch in 2003, Private’s gay line has built up a catalogue of 36 titles, including the Private Man and Private Manstars lines. A spokesman said the company aims to work up to releasing one Mansize title each month.
The Sureflix division will spearhead the strategic planning and marketing for all of Private’s gay properties, including merchandising for the gay areas of Gamelink.com’s online store and the production of gay video releases. In addition, Sureflix will continue to build upon the success of its Maleflixxx brand.
“As a digital distributor, our in-depth knowledge of the gay market enables us to accurately pinpoint the needs and trends of the gay adult consumer,” said Sureflix Chief Executive Officer Eric Johnson. “This understanding of evolving consumer behavior will be beneficial in guiding the production and marketing of Mansize’s premium content.”
Giles Hirst, marketing director for Private Media Group, added, “Private is committed to building on the previous success of our gay line, and now with the re-launch of the Mansize brand, coupled with Sureflix’s industry knowledge and Private’s unsurpassable distribution channels, we expect our gay properties to make significant revenues for the Private Media Group.”
