VAN NUYS, Calif.—Pacific Sun Entertainment has added Entertainment West Studios LLC to is roster of distribution clients. Founded in 2008 by two college buddies, Entertainment West specializes in masculine gay black men.
“The reason we started this studio is because we felt the gay industry lacked masculine black men,” said co-founder and co-owner Andre Perkins. “Since we are in Detroit and we have an abundance of that here, why not start this project?”
What began as a hobby became a successful commercial operation, Perkins said. A large portion of Entertainment West’s popularity is due to its website ThugSeduction.com, he noted, which earned a 2010 Cybersocket Award for Best Black Themed Site.
