PHILADELPHIA—Lucas Entertainment President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Lucas will address an audience during the 16th annual QFest, Philadelphia’s LGBT film festival. Scheduled to speak at 9 p.m. Saturday in the Ritz East Theater, Lucas intends to expound his political and social views and the future of gay adult entertainment while he shows clips from previous speeches and his studio’s hardcore productions.
Lucas’ previous appearance at QFest, in 2006, occurred in conjunction with the premier of More Dangerous: The Making of Michael Lucas’ Dangerous Liaisons.
“QFest has a rich history of provocative queer entertainment, and I’m proud to have been chosen by them as a speaker,” Lucas said. “It’s exciting to be presenting my work at such a venue, and I promise that this will be one of the most talked about events at the entire film festival.”
Produced by the Philadelphia Cinema Alliance and TLA Entertainment Group, QFest encompasses 12 days of screenings, awards presentations, discussions and lectures, parties and camaraderie.
“This is the 16th year for QFest, TLA’s gay and lesbian film festival—the third largest in the U.S.—and we always try and do at least one special event centered around the adult industry to shake things up,” said Erik Schut, managing director for TLAgay.com. “This summer is already so hot and sticky, and I can’t think of anyone who can make the temperature rise even more than Michael [Lucas]. He’s a great friend and a great personality, and our customers love him and his films.
“His past appearances at our festival have always been nothing short of salacious, and I’m certain this one will be nothing short of legendary,” Schut added. “We’ll have plenty of hoses on standby.”
A party at Voyeur Nightclub will follow Lucas’ presentation.
