LONDON—After more than a year of upgrades and redesign, MenAtPlay.com has re-launched with new features and new technology. The seven-year-old gay Britporn website solicited input from its members to determine where to invest its redevelopment time and money, and the result is a sharp, sexy product that delivers a new interactive experience.
“The men look even more amazing—if that’s possible—thanks to our new and improved 960 x 540 MenAtPlay video player, which delivers seamless streaming with zero buffering or pre loading time,” said Affiliate Marketing Manager James Mccarthy. “The entire Menatplay catalogue has been recompressed and reformatted to fit the new large-scale player and now comes available in three Flash streaming bandwidths, as well as two downloadable formats. As usual, all our movies are DRM-free. Other player features include full-screen viewing, zoom, chapter selection and a “money shot” button.”
In addition, MenAtPlay has expanded its community area to incorporate chat, member profiles, instant messaging, photo upload and a tube-style video upload facility so members can share and view each other’s homemade X-rated movies. The interactive element is carried across the entire site with comment boxes and “rate this” options added to all MenAtPlay movies, models and galleries.
The site also boasts a more frequent schedule for updates, promising to upload new, original material twice a week. Updates will incorporate a new “Castings” channel where members get up-close-and-personal sneak previews of wannabe models. Additions to the talent roster will be determined, in part, by user voting.
