Manifest Men, French Connection Sign Distro Deal

LOS ANGELES—Content from web-based gay adult studio Manifest Men will be available in retail stores for the first time thanks to a new exclusive distribution agreement with The French Connection.

“Manifest Men has never been available in stores,” said The French Connection owner Chris Hull. “We’re very pleased to be able to offer such a great quality product in a totally new market.”

Manifest Men Chief Executive Officer Alexander Sulaco said the pleasure is mutual.

“We have had talks with other distributors but didn’t feel they were a good match,” he noted. “The feedback from other studios regarding the professionalism and diligence we have been looking for makes The French Connection a great partner.”

Sulaco also said he felt it was a good time to begin marketing in the brick-and-mortar world.

“We began only selling [our DVDs] in our online store to test-market if our most popular models would also be most popular on DVD,” he said. “They certainly were, and we decided to move into formal distribution.”

While downloads of digital media continue to grow, DVD demand remains, Hull said.

“Many consumers love the packaging and portability of DVDs,” he offered. “In short, when they buy something, they like to be able to hold it in their hands [on something other than a portable device].”

Sulaco added he believes in-store distribution will boost the popularity of the studio’s website.

“This will give us even more visibility,” he said. “In fact, for those members that have favorite models and videos, it will provide a local outlet to obtain these products for use on any TV in their home.”

Manifest Men’s content primarily features muscle models like Zeb Atlas, Vin Marco and Mitchel Rock.

“Some of our models are less widely known beyond the Manifest Men sites,” Sulaco said. “This will give us the opportunity to expose them to an even larger audience. We believe that even the most well-known men have never looked better than they do when shot by Manifest.”

Manifest Men parent company Manifest Media was founded in 2004 by Marco and Sulaco. Marco serves as principal photographer, and as a former model, feels he brings a unique perspective to the work.
