TORONTO—Web-based video-on-demand provider Maleflixxx has secured the first-broadcast rights to content produced by gay erotic wrestling studio WrestleHard.com. Previously, the studio’s content was available only on its own website.
Wrestlehard.com combines the creative talents of an award-winning team with 10 years of experience in the gay adult entertainment industry. Owned by performer-director Roland Dane, who also serves as creative director, the studio specializes in savage fights, grudge matches and “beat downs,” all with a XXX edge.
Dane said he owes much of the studio’s success to photographer Attila G and videographer Sacanny. He also gives props to Maleflixxx.
“Maleflixxx came highly recommended to me by some of my studio owner friends,” Dane said. “Before I was actually ever introduced to the team of this well-organized company, I already knew our partnership would be successful—and they haven’t let me down.”
Eric Johnson, president and chief executive officer of Maleflixxx parent company Sureflix Digital Distribution, said the uncommon nature of WrestleHard.com’s content makes it appealing to consumers of VOD.
“Superior gay wrestling content is extremely hard to come by, so when Roland and the Wrestlehard.com content were introduced to us, we knew we had to have them onboard,” Johnson said. “The content has now been live on the [Maleflixxx] network for a couple of days, and we couldn’t be happier with how it is performing.”
