SYDNEY, Australia—Gay porn producer, director and performer Jamie Hendrix plans to leave his current residence in Sydney, Australia, and return to Los Angeles Nov. 11. Hendrix said he will entertain offers from studios upon his arrival.
After performing in a number of gay adult titles in the 1980s, Hendrix left the adult entertainment industry to pursue mainstream Hollywood aspirations. He returned in 2008 to produce the GAYVN-nominated films Friendly Force and Curious.
Hendrix said he offers a “seasoned” perspective on writing, producing, directing and editing after more than 20 years in the entertainment industry. He also said he is well acquainted with the latest high-definition filming, still photography and editing equipment and techniques.
In addition to seeking employment in the gay adult arena, Hendrix said he has plans to produce and distribute hardcore, softcore and mainstream titles on his own during 2010, based on experience he and his partner, Eli, gained while producing mainstream gay feature films from 2000-2008.
“From November 2008 to current, I took a break Down Under during the U.S. recession to reconfigure my future strategy in entertainment, and now all new plans are set,” he said. “I am exploring new scene shoots and am developing new high-budget gay XXX films with a cinematic-TV style with new cameras and technology for all my fans to enjoy.”
