SAN FRANCISCO - Hot House Entertainment snagged the Best Video Company Site trophy at the recent EGPA Web Awards in Berlin. The winners were named in a press release distributed by EGPA Web Awards founder Marc Cram.
"Anyone who works in Web development knows that building a great website is a daunting challenge," said Hot House Vice President and Creative Director Brent Smith, who designed the company's seven websites. "This award not only acknowledges Hot House as the industry leader in technology, but it also reignites our commitment to roll out new bells and whistles for our fans - and we've got a whole lot of them up our sleeves for 2009."
Hot House soon will unveil a new design for its two premium membership sites, Hot House Backroom and Club Inferno Dungeon. The sites will feature larger video screens, improved iTunes-likes navigation, and the ability for members to customize content based on their preferences. A new video-on-demand product also is under development and will be available in the next few weeks, Smith said.
The EGPA trophy marks the second time this year that Hot House's Web home has been named best in a competition among video company sites: It also won earlier this year at the Cybersocket Web Awards in Los Angeles. Both award shows determine the winners based on consumer voting online.
"Winning awards is always nice for our team, but winning awards determined by fans is particularly satisfying," Smith said. "We want to say ‘thank you' to anyone who took the time to go online and vote for us."
