NEW YORK—Here Media Inc. has promoted Carrie Rosten to the position of vice president for integrated marketing. In her new role, Rosten will manage the multi-platform marketing initiatives for brands including here! TV, The Advocate, Advocate.com, Out, Out.com, Gay.com, SheWired.com, PlanetOut.com and OutTraveler.com. Although Here Media’s corporate headquarters is in Los Angeles, Rosten is based in the company’s New York office.
“Carrie has proven herself to be an integral part of this department and a great asset to Here Media,” said Josh Rosenzweig, senior vice president for integrated marketing and publicity. “Her vast experience and her amazing creativity have aided significantly in moving the needle around all the new marketing and sales initiatives. I feel very fortunate to have her as a senior member of my team.”
Among Rosten’s new responsibilities are development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns for companies targeting gay and lesbian consumers. The campaigns are expected to leverage Here Media’s print and online outlets and pre-roll broadcast capabilities using an approach the company calls “360 advertising.” Additionally, Rosten will be the liaison between in-house marketing and advertising sales departments.
Rosten joined the company in 2009 as senior director of integrated marketing. Previously, she was director of marketing and promotion at BlackBook Media Corp. She has worked for several media brands, including W, O: The Oprah Magazine and Veranda. Rosten also is a novelist. Her first young-adult release, Chloe Leiberman (Sometimes Wong) was published in February 2007 by Random House’s Delacorte Books for Young Readers division.
Rosten earned a BA in English Literature from UCLA.
